04 Oct New retailers come to Virginia Beach MarketSquare, under renovation

The final phase of renovations to MarketSquare shopping center in Virginia Beach is underway, Cushman &
Wakefield-Thalhimer and MGT Construction announced. New retailers have also signed leases.

Two retail buildings totaling 31,000 square feet are set to be remodeled by mid-summer, according to a news release.
The renovation will feature design elements such as Bahamian shutters, dormer windows, standing seam metal roof,
and LED lighting, providing consistent coastal aesthetics throughout the retail center.

The shopping center has three new anchor tenants: Hobby Lobby, Walmart Neighborhood Market and One Life
Fitness. Other tenants include: Lucky Nails, Wanna B’s, Subway, Ensenada Mexican Restaurant, Uncle Al’s, Casey’s
Pub and Virginia Beach Nutrition Corner.

MarketSquare, originally built in 1974, is a 178,000-square-foot shopping center on 17.7 acres at 2824-2884 Virginia
Beach Blvd.
